Our Story
Kalenji® was founded in 2020 by John Smith, a passionate runner and athletics enthusiast. John started Kalenji® with a simple mission – to provide affordable, high-performance gear for runners and athletes.
As an avid marathoner and trail runner himself, John was frustrated by the lack of quality, reasonably priced running hats, shoes and gloves on the market. He saw an opportunity to create a brand that could deliver exceptional products without the premium price tag.
And so, Kalenji® was born.
We started out small – selling beanies, skull caps and gloves that John designed and manufactured himself. Word quickly spread among the running community about our products. Runners loved the comfort, breathability and sweat-wicking properties of our hats. They raved about the snug fit and responsiveness of our gloves.
Within months, Kalenji® had gained a cult following among runners and athletes across the UK. We expanded our product line to include trail running shoes, moisture-wicking socks, reflective vests, and other innovative performance gear.
Today, we offer a wide range of hats, shoes, gloves and accessories suited for all types of training and events – from 5Ks to ultramarathons. No matter your sport or fitness level, Kalenji® has the high-quality, affordable gear you need to elevate your performance.
